SF-ADAPT is a collaborative alliance that connects small-scale farmers with researchers, nonprofits, and technologists to co-create tools that work on smaller farms. The goal is to ensure that agricultural innovation reflects real-world needs—especially for operations that are often overlooked by mainstream agtech

SF-ADAPT serves small- and medium-scale farmers, particularly those in California's Central Valley. The program also engages technology developers, researchers, and community organizations committed to advancing agricultural practices.
Key Features

Local Ag Technology Events – Workshops and continuing education sessions on topics such as taxes, digital technology, production technology, and farm management. Some offerings provide CEUs for Certified Crop Advisors.

Innovation Connection – Connects farmers with technology developers to trial innovations on-farm and collaborate on pilot projects.

Testing and Demonstration Sites – Utilizes UCANR’s Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center to host real-world testing and equipment demonstrations.
