The Food Entrepreneurship Academy

The Food Entrepreneurship Academy provides technical assistance and training to aspiring food entrepreneurs, with a focus on mobile food vendors. It equips participants with knowledge in food safety, and regulatory compliance to support the successful launch and growth of food micro-enterprises.

Who It Serves

Aspiring food entrepreneurs, especially mobile food vendors, cottage food operators, and small food business owners from underserved communities.

Key Features

  • Business & Operations Training – Covers business planning, licensing, cost analysis, and compliance.

  • Food Safety & Permitting Guidance – Assists with certifications and regulatory requirements.

  • Access to Shared Kitchens & Equipment – Connects participants with commissaries and tools to get started.

  • Ongoing Mentorship & Support – Provides individualized coaching and follow-up assistance.

  • Health and Wellness - Hosts nutrition workshops and cooking classes to promote healthy food options in business products
